Agarpara College, Agarpara is the outcome of indomitable will and collective effort rendered by eminent educationists, enthusiastic localities, dedicated social workers, and the alumni association of K.C.Vidyamandir, Agarpara. In the year 1980, the college was established with the generous help and tremendous support of the people of locality. Then a Governing Body was constituted with Late Dr. Manmohan Singh and Late Shri Radhakrushna Mohanty as the president and the secretary respectively. The college functioned temporarily in the premises of KrushnaChandra Vidyamandir, Agarpara at its initial stage. After one and a half years, the college got shifted to its own building which is situated in the vast field known as “Dumduma” on the banks of the river Salandi surrounded by lush greenery, conducive for the growth and development of an educational environment. Presently the college imparts education for :- (i) +2 (Intermediate) Arts & Science (ii) +3 (Degree) Arts & Science With Honours in Arts Stream :- Economics- 32 seats, Education- 48 seats, English-16 seats, History- 48 seats, Odia- 48 seats, Political Science- 48 seats. With Honours in Science Stream:- Physics- 32 seats, Chemistry- 32 seats, Botany- 32 seats, Zoology-32 seats. The college receives grant-in-aid under 488 colleges category from the department of education, Govt. of Odisha.
